We visited Cusco mostly for Machu Picchu, but also visited the Sacred Valley. This hotel is in an almost perfect spot in the city, a 5 minute walk to the main square full of shops and food places, a 15 minute walk to the train station to Machu Picchu and central to all tour drop off points. When we arrived we were able to check in early, and the staff at the check in desk couldn't have been more helpful. They explained all the services the hotel provides (and theres a lot!) and showed us to our room. It was a beautiful room with an incredibly comfy double bed, beautiful bathroom and enriched oxygen in the room which really helped with the altitude. The hotel is an old refurbed historical building and is probably one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The architecture has been amazingly maintained, and the large court yard area is a perfect quiet spot to relax with the free teas that are provided. They also have an alpaca on site in the mornings for photos and petting. The restaurant / breakfast service is incredible too, with breakfast offering a massive selection of food including a cooked-to-order egg station. If you are heading out on a tour you can ask for a packed lunch included in the room, which consisted of a nice sandwich, a piece of fruit, juice box, and a delicious made-in-hotel cake. It was the perfect food needed on the 4 hour train ride to Machu Picchu. The on site pool / spa area is also beautiful, with a hot tub, steam room, sauna, cryo-showers and heated pool. A nice quite place to relax after a long day of walking over the many many hills of Cusco. Overall this hotel is pretty perfect. Theres not one thing I can think of that they could have done better, and not a single thing that was bad. If I visit Cusco again, I wouldn't be able to stay anywhere else! PS: Theres a really cute cat cafe 2 minute walk away with adorable kittens and rescue cats that are definitely worth a visit if you enjoy that sort of thing!

We stayed at the hotel after an intense hike to Machu Picchu, specifically to rest, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel was completely renovated from an old colonial-era convent. This convent, in turn, was built on top of Inca ruins, which themselves were constructed over the remnants of an earlier civilization conquered by the Incas. How do we know this? The hotel offers a fascinating daily tour of its underground areas, where you can visit the ruins and learn about the site’s history. During the tour, they explained how the hotel was meticulously renovated and rebuilt to become the stunning place we experienced, while honoring all the historical layers of the past. The room was extremely comfortable, and the amenities – shampoo, conditioner, creams, and bath salts – were of excellent quality, carefully chosen to provide a luxurious experience. Another highlight was the spacious and pleasant common area, where we could see women from Chinchero selling their handmade products and meet Panchita, a lovely llama. This common area also features a variety of plants and herbs cultivated on-site, which are used to prepare different teas offered to guests. This thoughtful detail added a special touch to the experience. Additionally, the hotel offers several amazing activities, such as cooking classes where we made ceviche using peppers grown in the hotel’s own garden, along with other fresh ingredients. The pool and relaxation area were outstanding, featuring a heated pool, hot tub, and both dry and wet saunas, providing the perfect setting to unwind. The breakfast was another highlight. We’ve never had such an incredible breakfast! We even asked for the recipe for some delicious cakes we tried, and the staff provided it to us promptly. Our stay at the hotel was absolutely perfect. The only "problem" is that it’s so amazing, you won’t feel like leaving – not even to explore the incredible city of Cusco

I visited and stayed here for 3 nights with my partner. I visited 9 years ago with my friend. Obviously I loved my first time and so I have returned with my partner the second time! I loved my stay. The staff are so helpful, courteous, they really made us feel special. They helped us organise a day trip to local ruins and textile factory. The breakfast and spa and rooms were amazing. The building itself is beautiful with all its architecture. Unfortunately due to bad weather our flight to Arequipa got cancelled. The staff helped us to book an extra night at the hotel and also tried to help us call the airline to find out about flights. The 2 vouchers of pisco sours for every night stay was a special touch. We truly appreciate every moment spent at the hotel. Very memorable.

Located close to many shops and restaurants. Top notch service!! Great food and there was a live musician on my last night which was amazing. Spa services - a must!! And oxygen pumping in the room to help you acclimate to the altitude. Bathrooms A+. They made my bed in the morning and also had turn down service in the late afternoon with little chocolates on the beds which made my evening! Really great hotel and I think I’ll start staying at Marriott more often if they’re all like this. Ps. I did try another local hotel prior to this one and it.does.not.compare. Take the plunge and invest in a wonderful vacay by staying here.

Exceptional hotel. The breakfast is amazing, with so much choice. The staff are so friendly and kind, always on hand to assist. The food is top class, we ate there both evenings, the yakitori buffet was top class. The room was nice and spacious, with a big comfortable bed and a good shower. The location is brilliant, just a short walk to the main plaza. The hotel also offer some additional extras, we joined the pisco sour class, which was enjoyable. They also have an alpaca in the courtyard for breakfast.
